Are you not aware that Muslims consider Jerusalem their 3rd holiest place in the world, after Mecca and Medina? It is VERY religious for them too, and even for the Christians who fought a couple of Crusades over it a thousands years ago.

He's correct. It's gone way passed a Religious issue. It's a territorial one now. It's about 2 peoples fighting over what is the most valuable piece of real estate.

Don't get me wrong, there are still major religious undertones. If any of the religious landmarks are harmed, then it could cause a major international incident.
