Which Console Should I Buy For GTA 4?

People of Shoutwire, I am faced with a dilemmaPeople of Shoutwire, I am faced with a dilemma. Which is the better console for playing GTA 4?

I have played all of the previous versions of Grand Theft Auto on many different consoles since the very beginning but I have not yet played GTA 4. I do however mean to rectify this great tragedy of modern times by purchasing the game along with a shiny new console at the weekend. The only problem is that I am unsure as to which is the best console on which to play.

Some of my friends say the Xbox version is better as it has more downloadable content, the PS3 fan boys say their graphics are sharper and it has less load times. The only problem is that the Xbox boys have not played the PS3 version and the PS3 boys have not played the Xbox version. Both have warned me about purchasing an Xbox simply for the red rings of death but compared to the current difference in price, I am in favour of the Xbox at this particular time.

What I need is some advice from you, the people of Shoutwire, as I know that some of you will have already played the game, whether you have purchased it yourself of played the game at a friends house. I need to know which version is better, why, and have you played both versions?

I have a Wii and for a while I was depressed about not being able to play gta4, I was actually considering buying a new console for it.

My brother, who has a ps3 but hates the thing, has gta4. After playing it for about an hour I realized how much of a waste of money a ps3 would be. The game has nothing new on the old gta's, it is the same shit it just looks a little shinier.

Videogames suck, get a mountain bike or something that will actually entertain you for more then the 15 hours it takes to beat it.

Yeah you gotta love those 20 inch 720p HD's for 500 Bucks. Man, that's what I want to spend my money on - something that you can hardly tell it's HD.

What's the point of buying an HDTV if you can't see it?

And what's the point of buying a BAD tv (ie, cheap and 500 dollars, has a lot of dead pixels, angle issues etc.)

PS3 is a better and superior machine, however Graphics are about the same.

Never seen PS3 version, I have the xbox version and it is very good. I own it, I am done the story (I enjoyed it, classic GTA style), and I'm about 80% done all the side missions and shit. I wouldn't say that the Load times are Long by any means and shit does look shiny and crisp in HD.
Game play is standard i think.
Multiplayer is standard crap as expected from any 3rd-person online shooter ;) It's ok i guess, but I'm biased in that respect.

PC version is going to obviously blow the consoles to shit, but i don't care cuz it costs too much $ now-a-days to maintain a rock-solid gaming rig. Plus playing from my couch is nice.

***xbox has WAY better games then PS3***

And about the Red Ring of Death. Bought my baby a bit over 2 years ago and it's been nothing but green lights. I take care of mine though, stays in the stereo cabinet always behind the glass doors and has mediocre airflow.

But seriously, xbox has a larger library of better game titles to choose from. Spend your extra money from the console savings for games. oh and xbox live is only 6$ a month - all games.
