This list isn't bad but is severely lacking! Here are three movies from the 80's that top the list easily;
Bladerunner, Platoon, and the Terminator. Not to mention ET and the Empire Strikes Back!

I picked Full Metal Jacket over Platoon. Conan instead of Terminator...I didnt really want to have more than 1 with the same actor, otherwise Schwarzenegger would be in Conan, Terminator, and Predator. Same with Harrison Ford in Blade Runner and Indianna Jones.

This is a good list. It's only lacking in names because you had to confine yourself to only 10 movies. That's alright, it's not your fault that area spawned such and incredible amount of good movies. But of course Terminator completely owns Conan as a movie.

Awesome list, though I'm calling shenanigans on Top Gun on grounds of the Tom Cruise Rule.

But Predator owns Conan and the first Terminator.

Invocation of the Cruise Rule on grounds of batshittines approved.

I was limited to 10 movies, so obviously not every great movie would make it. If I had done "Top 80's Movies" I would probably still be writting and scouring youtube for video clips.

As far as Tom Cruise goes, just be happy I didn't add Cocktail or Risky Business ;-) Rainman was actually an excellent movie, but only because of Dustin Hoffman, and not Tom Cruise. Cruise did have half a dozen hit movies in the 80's, so he had to be acknowledged.

Completely forgot about John Hughes though. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is the best holiday movie made. Randy Quaid's cousin Eddie is exactly like an uncle I have. The scene with him dumping the sceptic tank in the sewers is pure gold. Shame on me for forgetting that.

No Empire Strikes back because A New Hope was made in the 70's, and in my opinion, the best of the original trilogy.

Now for the Conan VS Terminator VS Predator debate. The Terminator never got wenches thrown to him as a gift for killing someone in a death pit. Terminator was terminated by a waitress. Terminator failed, simple as that. As far as Conan VS Predator goes...I have no idea. I do know that both of them would slap around Chuck Norris like the ugly step child.
