Oil prices aren't high because of untapped oil in Alaska. They're high because of untapped oil in Saudi Arabia and Iraq and OPEC wants it to stay that way.

Let the wild conspiracies fly!!! So you think that the 'oil shortage' is false and is a scam?! But where's the evidence.

Idiot. OPEC cuts production just enough to meet Demand. China and India are buying petroleum at record highs now. It's a shortage in production, not in actual oil.

Before you call me an idiot for questioning the validity of a conspiracy theory, why don't you come up with some links and show me the facts?

Even if Alaska is tapped the prices wont go down. There are several billion gallons running through the Alaska Pipeline and guess what, we're paying $4 a gallon just like the rest. Why? Because its good buisness. Theyre going to keep the prices at what they are, even if Saudi Arabia GIVES us all of their oil. Why? Because if you own the vast majority of something, why would you charge less? You make FAR more money if you up the price because of the laws of economics, No Competition? No unrestrained prices? No Brainer.

And we do have hydorelecric cars and cars that run off of ethenol but guess who is stifiling that production? The oil companies.

Thank you corporate America.

First of all, we use oil for more things besides Gas production. We use it to make medicine, food and plastics..Plus some items.
We are going to have to change and rethink our enegry policies. Hybrid cars, Solar and nuclear power are just a few of the ways we should go. Which won't happen until we stop the oil lobby from blocking any changes we may make.
O.P.E.C will do everything in their power to stop enegry reform.

^Exactly. A deliberate shortage in production to keep prices high.

There's also the refiners to consider. Cars don't run on oil.

FidoQuick Take On The RNC
Being an open minded individual, I decided to spend a couple hours watching the Republican national convention in St Paul, or Minneapolis, Minnesota, or wherever it is. I had initially tuned in to watch Sarah Palin’s address, in order to maybe get a read on what she may be all about. I regret that I couldn’t get that far. After viewing Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani speak to the delegates, I felt an overwhelming need to seek asylum in another country. ...

BebichanInterview With Westboro Baptist Church!!!
This interview was compiled by myself and the great Nodnarb232001. Questions were selected from suggestions made by our great, dedicated, Shoutwire users, as well as a couple of our own suggestions!Nodnarb232001- Yep, and now we would like to ask Shirley Phelps-Roper old Freddy Phelps himself, and anyone from their congregation to come here defend their views from some of our users' unholy "persecution". We need to be reminded of just why we're going to hell.Just cl...
