Shoutwire flame battles were started by Dockwats and Zero some time ago. With the Eurotrash Cup 2008 already kicked off in full motion and football season around the corner, what better way to start a flame war than with the resurgence of the Shoutwire Flame Battles?
There has been an age-old feud since the colonists broke away from the tyranny and oppression of the evil redcoats. A flame battle so heated that a war was once officially declared between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the United States of America. Of course, America won that war but the redcoats refused to change! This war, a war over the name of a sport, continues to enrage men to this very day. In Chicago a deranged Bears fan heard someone refer to football as “American football” and ended up burning the city to the ground. 1989, Sheffield, England, a grossly fat American, who happened to be taking up two seats, became enraged upon discovering he attended a soccer game when the ticket clearly said “football”. His outrageous temper tantrum ended up bringing the entire stadium to collapse, killing 96 people. The perils of war are strong with this disagreement and they continue to add up. The question, to which one side already knows their answer, plagues the globe. Is it called soccer or Football and which sport is superior? Of course people argue that “in soccer (football) you use your feet! Therefore its called football!” However, everyone knows that football originally derives from soccer and rugby and players could only score goals with their feet, hence the name football. Since then America has allowed football to evolve into the greatest sport in the history of time and it keeps its original name. Well I now leave this argument open for debate. This is a no holds barred debate, fowl language and threats of violence and rape are highly encouraged! The rules are simple: flame the hell out of anyone who does not agree with your points. Two winners will be chosen by the admins here... We will then hold a vote for the users to choose the champ. Let the flaming begin!
