On the second of August 1990, Saddam Hussein Invaded Kuwait City. I was on my way back from Guantanamo Bay in Cuba when I got word that we would be going to Iraq. We had just finished building Camp X-Ray, which is now famous for housing terrorists and prisoners connected with the 9/11 attacks. During the time of the actual ground offensive, I wrote articles to my hometown newspaper telling of the experiences we faced during that time. This is one of those stories.

"The meaning of Freedom eh? Fucking Hell Americans truely think that the whole damn world revolves around them. Fuck you and your so called freedom, look at Europe and see freedom without facism"

LMAO, damn right we think the whole world revolves around us, but wait a minute it seem that only dipshits like you think that. Nobody from the states thinks the world revolves around our country, its just dunbasses like you that think that.

All of Europe would be speaking German right now if it werent for us who stepped in, in which all of your European countries were crying out loud for us to come save you from Hitler.

There is no *true* freedom only as close as we can get, all our definitions are different so what is the damn point arguing about it?

National Treasure was a fictional movie, so using it as an example of your understanding of the U.S. Constitution is pretty off.

But on the subject of war, let me put this out; if the Jews would have had the ability to fight off the Nazis...go to WAR with the Nazis...to stop their tyrany, would it have NOT been justified? I'm not picking any particular war at this point, but to say that war can NEVER be justified is avoiding the inevitability of humans defending themselves from evil.

Should we (America) have never enterd WWII? Should we have never fought FOR France against Germany? I agree that war is hell, and I truly wish that it would never EVER have to happen, but the reality is that it has and possibly WILL have to happen untill we reach some type of utopian world society where money means nothing and no one hungers for power.

I don't beileve anyman has the right to take a life

but I also think a society dose.

war can be justified when fighting for human rights or as a means to protect your country.

one man kicks a duck.

" don't kick the ducks" says a passing man " they don't like that"

" you don't know what the ducks feel!"

"you don't know what I feel"

inspired by not not qouted from the book "The River Why"

remember don't think you know what people think or feel until you are them. this appiles to both sides of the scope.

The "all of europe whould be speaking german" crap is old, and, really, not that true. But even if it was, what do you mean when you say "us"? You weren't even born at the time!
What i mean with this is simple(i hope): National Identities are constructed, not born with you. Actually, any anthropology student may tell you that national identities even have a kit, like the ones you buy at AKI or IKEA.

Anne-Marie Thiesse wrote a book some years ago entitled "La Creation des Identités Nationales". On the Creation of National Identities or something. I stongly recomend giving it a try. It might open some minds on the subject (on many subjects, actualy - i never saw the world the same way again...)

That sounds like an interseting book, i might try and find a copy.

Yea and so is all this anti-american sentiment.. Yea bush is a dumbshit and most of us know that, thats why his approval rating is at a all time low of about 30%. Aphganistan wells a very good decision, but Iraq was just stupid. Aphganistan was justified afterall we lost 2000 innocent people to those terrorists, hell even england got a taste of these cowards actions with the bus bombings. We need to rise up and defend our freedoms afterall this is what the terrorists are trying to destroy.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! omg! AAHHAHAHAHA! Whew that was a laugh

Europeans just want to kill people from either their owns countries or other countries and the USA steps in and stops them from doing it. Like the holocaust (I admit the USA was very late for that and ignored it most of the time but people protested so the president went after the nazis) and like korea when they were murdering their own people. Now we kill thousands in a "war on terror" now all the sudden the USA are bad guys. Fuck you you sorry bastards. You are such jealous hyppocrites. We look like saints compared to your brutal history so fuck you.

For every idiot that posts a negative comment on here, theres 2 real men that are too busy doing productive things to voice their opinion. Besides, whats the point in stirring up debate and whining about something if you already know you're right.

To the author:

Thank you so much for your sacrifices. It is truly too bad that you haven't received more praise in this particular forum. It takes a true imbecile not to recognize that, while they might disagree with the United States' current stance, it is men like you who have maintained that freedom for them; both historically and still today.

I have my own opinions about the current world situation, but I want to sincerely extend my thanks to you for honorably serving our great country as a soldier in the United States Marine Corps. Long live America!

FidoQuick Take On The RNC
Being an open minded individual, I decided to spend a couple hours watching the Republican national convention in St Paul, or Minneapolis, Minnesota, or wherever it is. I had initially tuned in to watch Sarah Palin’s address, in order to maybe get a read on what she may be all about. I regret that I couldn’t get that far. After viewing Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani speak to the delegates, I felt an overwhelming need to seek asylum in another country. ...
