We've tested our ShoutWire online IRC chat for a few months now, and after a few minor things are tweaked will look to have it easily accessible for everyone. Please check our final Beta and give feedback on layout and if there are any features on page you would like added/removed. Thanks, guys.

Throw in an AJAX loader on a JavaScript timer thought and it might not be so redundant.  I also don't know why there are pictures of the editors.

JS timer would be good idea, I'll look into it. Pictures of editors linking to editorial list is to tailor it for SW and get a few more folks viewing eds.

Never liked web-based IRC. Why not simply give people the server and channel and then say download mIRC? I don't even want to fool with installing the plugin to see if I can discover the server and channel name.

^Not everyone wants to install software or accesses SW from a computer where you can download things.

This is a way to provide a way to IRC for everyone. Java is a pretty standard plugin for every computer. One click = chat.

I frequent the chat, mostly for the links and some discussion.

I laugh at all the stereotypes people above me have given IRC. I've been using the multi-player notepad for... 10 years now. It doesn't matter what your interest is, there is an IRC channel for you.

As for the close minded people, your loss.

NXX you only go there to insult people who are new to IRC. You try to get all the newbies banned.

Grow up NXX.

FidoPolitical Prestidigitation
Roughly sixty Days from today, American voters will go to the polls to select a new President. Issues of health care, security and an unpopular war weigh heavily on the minds of US citizens.Or, do they? Several days ago, Barack Obama delivered a bombastic acceptance speech delineating the brave new course his administration would undertake. The logistics of which seemed to get lost in the rhetoric. But, it was inspiring none the less. The Democratic party was united...

This interview was compiled by myself and the great Nodnarb232001. Questions were selected from suggestions made by our great, dedicated, Shoutwire users, as well as a couple of our own suggestions!Nodnarb232001- Yep, and now we would like to ask Shirley Phelps-Roper old Freddy Phelps himself, and anyone from their congregation to come here defend their views from some of our users' unholy "persecution". We need to be reminded of just why we're going to hell.Just cl...
