Mixed Feelings about this, If i died in REAL life... and someone held a funeral for my 60 Priest on WoW... I'd feel a little cheesy, almost insulted.

BUT if I was to have a WoW funeral on Illidan (A PvP server remember) it would complete it by a pvp fest... being as i joined a PVP server not to make friends with other 'factions'.

Now... First off, they advertised this. That alone is doing two things:
1: Drawing ALOT of attention to themselves
2: Inviting all to come

If you are going to throw a funeral in a KNOWN pvp server, you do it in private with people that actually meant something to the deceased. They were ASKING for this to happen. If i was that poor dead woman in that grave, i'd say 'Lol Noobs' at their attempt to honor my memory but botching the whole thing by pulling a OMG ATTENTION WHORE stunt.

A Video Game is NOT REAL. No matter how many 'But it was in honor...' 'She died and they did a innocent thing...' 'They are little kids that should be beaten down...' you throw at me. Its a GODDAMNED GAME.

Let me dabble into this GAME aspect deeper:
It is played to escape reality, there is nothing REAL in this game... hence it being a GAME. It's made for fun. PVP fun. Which means Player VERSUS Player. Are you understanding or should I link a few sites to better explain?

With this said, Yeah it's a shame that this happened... Doesn't take away from the fact that "Its done, over, and getting ALL the attention it wants". So i guess there is justice in this, no?

That is without a doubt why people stereotype about nerds.

I'd also say that its not classified as a hobby because instead of giving you any extra skills, it actually deprives you of socialising skills that are essential to a "normal life".

Even if a game gives you some extra skill in the game, it is a worthless skill as cant be used it in real life.
