@all those people saying to get a life

Clarify... there are so many ways to interperet that. My definition of having a life is doing something I enjoy, can look back on, and say "I did that and I enjoyed myself". Since I see there are many people here who don't play WoW, I'm going to say very few of these people are what you call "nerds". Almost all of them do have lives outside of the game. And what is wrong with respecting/honoring someone's memory the only way that you can? It isn't just some character that died, it is a real-life girl that died. I say respect her in any way you feel apropriate.

You're telling me to get a life? (At risk of sounding like a hypocrite) You're trying to bitch someone out over the internet without ever seeing the person's face. I go to high school, I work 20 hours a week, I do my homework, I go out to movies and dinner with friends, I go out with friends at 11pm and play good games of basketball. I play WoW, on average, 3 hours a night 3 days a week. Could you please tell me a better way to get a life?

Just some thoughts.

Edit: I know the difference between real life and a video game, just like everyone else that plays the game and is talking on this thread. Please don't say "It's just a game." This is true, but to those saying "You take this game too seriously" think about it, the girl's death took place in real life. Sounds pretty serious to me.

shit i play dod (day of defeat) and i dont expect a funeral "in-game" maybe my fellow clan mates at my funeral getting drunk. good reality check for all the kids that play wow. and you cant know someone on a personal level just from their voice.

You really need to grow up, you keep saying things like "why are they mad it was a videogame"? You replied to my post, but did you even read it? I said throughout my entire post that this was not about it being a videogame, it was about a REAL person dying in REAL life, why are they mad? Oh gee, I don't know maybe it has something to do with these people spitting upon the memory of their friend. You keep asking why hold a funeral on a video game? Its not logical? On the contrary thats how they came to know this kid, whats more logical. Lastly, you say they should have found ways to mourn on their own? The point of mourning someone is to SHARE your memories of them with OTHER people who knew them, to talk things out, not sit in a corner like a four year old on time out.
