I see you capitalize "Capitalist America" -- and therefore you're willing to send our children over to Iraq do die, and to attack Iranian nuclear facilities even though we have no proof that they're building weapons; and despite the actual threat being to Israel and the possibility of an Iranian controlled Iraq?

Have you EVER stopped to think how ludicrous it is that our physical and economic security is SO DEPENDENT upon the Middle East? And is that really good for America?

Why does Israel keep Pissing the Arab world off. It is just a matter of time America will stop supporting them coz they dont have anything America wants. And then Israel will be royally screwed. It is stupid to think Iran will start a Nuclear war.

"It is just a matter of time America will stop supporting them coz they dont have anything America wants" If only that was true, the world would be a much safer place. I don't believe America will ever stop supporting Israel, for several reasons;

First of all there's the Jewish political lobby, which is by far the most powerfull lobby in the US and who use their influence to pretty much dictate foreign policy when it comes to Israel. Every time the US even hints at moving the other direction, the pro-Israeli jewish lobby is out in full force. I doubt many Americans understand the full impact this is having on their country, since pretty much all of the US/ArAb conflict can be traced directly back to Israel's actions. It is hard to deny that if the US had not supported the Israelis so staunchly, in what amounts to an illegal occupaton, then there wouldn't be so much love lost between the US and the middle east.

Secondly, at the moment its in the US's best interests to keep Israel happy, since in essence they are the US's only real ally in the region. Plus it doesnt really seem like the US wants to improve their relationship with the Arab world, they just want their oil. It is no coincidince that their last two wars in the region have been in countries that hold vast amounts of oil and natural gas resources (Afghanistan and Iraq). So as long as they have an ally as powerfull as Israel in the region they can pursue this agenda. What is ironic though is that while the US might think that they control Israel, it is infact quite the opposite (atleast when it comes to foreign policy).

I think there is going to be a shift of america being bog brother to the world, started with the war, and the bourse in iran, I think countries are going to cut america down from its high podium, fact is the american people are going to be the ones sufferring, I dont mean that as an attack, but as of a consequence of the government not giving money back to its nation, for healthcare, schools etc. The american engine has gotten used to its status of acquiring money and spending it on stupid things like war on terrorism, instead of where its needed i.e. New Orleans after katrina, homeless etc. If katrina went through the whole of america, Bush would be out on his ass, we know why, he doesnt give a shit about national crisis's, hes trying to hold onto the only thing which got him into government, FEAR, and thats the war. He probably making a pretty sum of cash off it as well. Can you tell me Im wrong?
