ok buddy, Jesus Died for us so we are allowed to do such stuff as he claims. If you are a Jew you are not allowed to do that stuff. Some of that stuff is taken to literally anyway. Like the touching of the Dead pig is reffering to kosher eating not literally.

I'm not of Jewish faith. I'm not discounting anything about Jesus, his dying on the cross or anything else, I merely posted a real letter sent into Dr. Laura by a listener who disagreed with her stance on homosexuality. The point being is that the Bible has many references that are not acceptable as right or laws today, so why do people continue to discriminate against someone's preference in the name of God and the Bible.

This very reminiscent of a episode of West Wing, where a women who had a radio show and condemned Homosexuality. The president, Martin Sheen, ripped her a new arse-hole, verbally, quoting the bible to prove her wrong. That was entertaining. So is this.

Not all of the bible is true, anyway. Dr. Laura Schlessinger is an idiot for believing in this bible so quickly. SHEESH! It didn't say "And the man must not lie down with a male".

No, it didnt say "And a man" in it so it is obviously the only referring the word is "you" means everyone and it didnt say specifically you as a man, no. Nice try, Dr. Laura. I am tired of some people worried about homosexuality and the bible..oh boy. No proof, period.

That was a great letter, I loved it.

My favorites:
"I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?"
"I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?"
"Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?"

Who gives two fucks what the Bible, Qur'an, Tanakh, Veda, Tipitaka or any other archaic relgious text, written and compiled hundreds of years ago, says about anything? It's 2006. We've just about outgrown our home and ruined it irreparably; surely this isn't the time to be looking far into the past for answers.
