While I won't say he didn't have it coming, i'd just like to say the entire trial was a farce in the name of justice.

Rumsfeld should dangle alongside for selling him the weapons used to kill those people.

Bout bloody time.

Die you bastard. You deserve much more than a simple hanging, but I guess any means to get you off this planet is a good one.

Saddam, no running around the pool !
[/quote]

shoulda listened to the little guy, eh ^^
BUSTED !!
though i personally have no beef with him.
in fact i feel kinda sorry for him that his life (and death) came out the way they did. /me casts Flame Shield Pro IV, equips Rings of Flame Defense +20

not that i dont stand behind the sentence, but as jackanape said : its a farce. like most things involving important people are... courts are just for the little man.

Well said Jackanap. This was almost like a movie. The world was so built up on capturing Saddam that alot of important factors were ignored. There was close to no in depth coverage of the trial here in the US apart from a few updates here and there. It was almost impossible to know what was really going on in the trial. The media never talked about how the US gave him various weapons when he was in ally in the 80s. Boy history is gonna look back on us and wonder how STUPID of a people we were and how easily brainwashed and mislead we could be. I guess we can expect the wave of political boxing matches to take place on TV now with one side arg uing this is clear progress in Iraq and the other countering with, well you know. Anyway we all knew this was coming but pay attention to the facts especially the undeniable one that this guy was supported by the US. Read between the lines ppl.

before the judge was going to say the verdict, which was death penalty

BEFORE THE SESSION BEGAN, one of Saddam's lawyers, former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark, was ejected from the courtroom after handing the judge a memorandum in which he called the trial a travesty.

Chief Judge Raouf Abdul-Rahman pointed to Clark and said in English, "Get out."

now why did the judge eject Ramsey Clark,
