I have $50 (minimum) for the ShoutWire member who creates the most outrageous real-world ShoutWire promotional tag. Read for details!
You know what i've always wanted to see? I'd like to be driving down an expressway and see ShoutWire's URL spray painted across an overpass in huge letters. Unfortunately I have a family and can't risk an arrest. However, some of you may not be in the same predicament.
Today I thought, "why not make some kind of contest out of it?" Great idea, but sadly all requests to ShoutWire's owners for prize money have been ignored. That's why i'm putting up $50 to support this stupid contest myself.
Here's what you need to do:
- Find an outrageously effective way to promote ShoutWire in the real world. You could take my suggestion above if you want, hang a banner from a building, make a huge makeshift road sign - use your imagination!
- Take at least 4 pictures of your work, from different angles, with you in at least one shot (wear a ski mask if you want to conceal your identity).
- Email the images to my ShoutWire email address. If you don't know what it is, find it. Please include your ShoutWire username so that I know who the fuck you are. Enter as many times as you dare.
- In 2 weeks, i'll personally pick the 10 best (if 10 people can even be bothered).
- The 10 best will be compiled into a poll, and ShoutWire users will vote on the winner.
I really wish I could give out more than $50, but I've got a kid on the way and every bit helps, you know? I'll look for other sponsors and announce the total prize money at a later date, but it'll be $50 minimum.
A couple of rules:
- Photoshopped images will not be considered.
- ShoutWire volunteer staff cannot enter (regardless of your capacity with the site).
- I AM NOT condoning illegal activity here.
The top ten will be chosen on Monday, August 25th. The editorial with the Top Ten will be on the front page for one week so that site members can vote.
