i wish they would come to my town..the thugs who beat the living daylights out of each other every night in the town center would have fresh meat..the arsonists would have a new building to burn and the drunks\wineos would have a new place to hang outside tapping for money...even the immigrant big issue sellers could get in on the fun

If you beat the shit out of one i'll gladly say we were at a pub 200 miles away.

I'm surprised they even made it to Scotland let alone getting a huge church in London with the chief of polices approval. (DUN DUN DUN)

"It doesn't get any lower or more desperate than trying to brainwash young kids..."

Isn't that just normal practice for most religions?

^ yes, but at least the normal religions are primarily interrested in the kids souls, where as scientologiy is primarily interrested in the kids money

@digital

Brilliantly said. The problem with breeding stupidity and ignorance is that it is not a controllable pattern. One day it may be Christianity, an easy tool to control the populace by, the next it's Scientology. But it all falls in line within the same reasoning; Desperate, stupid people who are to be blindly led around by the nose for profit or power. The only complaint here is that Scientology is competition.

What the fuck are they doing in my town? I'm so glad they got kicked out before I knew about this or I'd be in prison right now.

If there's anything that would drive me to unprovoked murder it'd be bumping into a scientoligist.

Prince, you have a good point, Scientology seems to be nothing more than a crafty money making scheme.

But, how do you think that the established churches became so rich in the first place? They are excellent business models which indoctrinate young and then ask for alms on ability to pay either a little later, or when adults. If you think about current marketing practice for business, it seems that they're taken quite a bit from the 'get them young' policies of faith movements.

If the Catholic Church were a corporate entity it would be one of the richest on earth what with their property and shares portfolios, neither of which would have been possible without pennies for the pulpit. You also just have to look at the Senate's probe of the TV evangelists and how they're become so personally wealthy to see that there's something rotten going on and that these TV 'megachurches' are not just interested in saving souls.

FidoFiggering Out Man Shit
There seem to be questions about the qualities that define a man. Half the world’s population carry the designation but apparently, there are degrees of the condition still to be qualified. Rather than make a list and argue over things a man should or shouldn’t do, I’d rather cite examples of manly ideals in a Hollywood context in order to provide more identifiable images.In loose chronological order, I’ll begin with Errol Flynn, ever the reluctant warrior and perf...

SteelyDanThe Best Fucking Daily Show Episode Ever
Last week we looked at Jon Stewart calling out some of the biggest media assholes and their spinning of the truth. It was a sweet moment and if you missed it, you can check that out here.Still smarting over the feeling of vindication after watching that last video, I was shocked when a friend sent me the link to these videos. Following what was supposed to be their night and moment of glory, Stewart simply beat down the GOP political machine. As always with stuff...
