Funny if true, but there aren't timestamps on the photos, so I doubt it.

Where did you get the idea that this was Britain?
I dont think timestamps on the photo's are really necessary to prove that she recieved no help for at least some extensive period of time considering 6 people were fired over it.

Our FREE NHS is terrible, unlike the Americans health service where a vast number of people can't even afford to get treated. And what's better, we have people waiting 24 hours and then when they're clearly in distress, we leave them on the floor for a good hour. oh wait...

yup. just goes to show how bad US hospitals are getting. and if you have health coverage, good for you, except they may only cover 1/1000000000 of the injuries/diseases/etc that exist nowadays that can be fixed.

It's a shame this happened at all, in a hospital where they could have helped her!

Sadly this is totally believable, I've had family that waited hours to a day to get to them... think about waiting all day for someone to help you. erk!

Considering the title says Brit woman and the link goes to a BBC news page 1 may assume it happened in britain... as far as time stamps go there are none on these pictures but i saw the surveillance video on the local news and the timestamps were there. what made it worse was they doctored the paperwork to cover there asses (they said at 615 she was walking around and went to the bathroom but the video clearly shows her passed out on the floor at that time).

No, it goes to a Daily Mail page and the title on the Daily Mail page is "Patient dies on the floor of a hospital waiting room as staff ignored her for over an HOUR". For some reason waffleman decided, probably without actually reading the article (it mentions the "New York Health.." and something or other...) that this event took place in a British hospital.
