Humans can build spaceships capable of reaching the Moon within minutes; a flight to Mars will take 2.5 hours, and a flight to Alpha Centauri, which is scores of light years away from Earth, will take a mere 80 days.

"...deputy director..."
"...Theoretical and Applied Physics..."
"...brilliant physicist and philosopher..."
"...first scientist who began thinking..."
"...audacious theory..."
"...leading scientist with the German company HPCC-Space Gmbh..."

Ye know, if all these s'posed intelligent scientists spent a lot less time prancing and posteuring and a little more time actually doing shit, then the Human race might indeed have colonised the closet 15 solar systems...

Very true. If the scientists stopped showing off their brain sizes with crazy ideas & calculations, and put more effort and money into creating those ideas, we'd be much further than we are now.
Shotgun a seat on that Alpha Centauri trip, it'd be a laugh.

Exactly. And while we're at it, get shot of those blasted engineers too. I mean, without all that nonsense they call stress and strain and tensile strength and other high-falutin' elitist knob-swinging, you could just slap some big girders together and build the world's biggest, coolest suspension bridges between the skyscrapers of New York.

And the moral of the story ?
If your theory doesnt work, just throw in some more dimensions.

i believe that if you cant prove it then dont say shit about it. scientists arent doing shit outside of what the government or whoever is controlling them tells them to do. there are ways out there to do these things, its just our scientists are to stupid to think of them.

technology is pretty far advanced now, just because we came this far so quickly doesn't mean that the bounderies of tech advancement is infinite....in 50 years, we may have tapped it.....who knows they don't fucking know, and certainly no one here on shoutwire knows

all this future posturing is beginning to set me off.. for fucks sake if this shit hasnt already been invented then why the fuck should i have to hear about it? If you seriously think this stuff will be invented AND available to the masses you're SADLY mistaken

Its like some unforeseen hand is trying to garner support for their religion by making vague promises about things that will never happen in even 100 more years of civilization

To waste time looking to the future in hopes of this "better tomorrow" is a biggest waste of time.. better to spend time solving the problems we have NOW than creating new ones since we already know that humanity is incapable of change unless it benefits them in some way

FidoFiggering Out Man Shit
There seem to be questions about the qualities that define a man. Half the world’s population carry the designation but apparently, there are degrees of the condition still to be qualified. Rather than make a list and argue over things a man should or shouldn’t do, I’d rather cite examples of manly ideals in a Hollywood context in order to provide more identifiable images. In loose chronological order, I’ll begin with Errol Flynn, ever the reluctant warrior and perf...

SteelyDanThe Best Fucking Daily Show Episode Ever
Last week we looked at Jon Stewart calling out some of the biggest media assholes and their spinning of the truth. It was a sweet moment and if you missed it, you can check that out here.Still smarting over the feeling of vindication after watching that last video, I was shocked when a friend sent me the link to these videos. Following what was supposed to be their night and moment of glory, Stewart simply beat down the GOP political machine. As always with stuff...
