Not that I agree with the way miksah put it, but your response shows how stupid people like you are.

You really should read Thoreau's writings in Civil Disobedience about the military and soldiers.

Soldiers are foolish. They basically give up their lives in order to let someone else make their decisions for them. They give themselves up as clay for the hands of ANYONE who happens to be in power... in this case, a moron.

I don't understand how you can blindly support all members of our military. I can understand the residual 'fighting for freedom and democracy' thing from WW2 and such, but this IS NOT THAT WAR.

I don't know a whole lot about WW2 unfortunatly. But I wouldn't even go as far as disagreeing with you on that.

I am a big fan of Thoreau, and after reading a few of his writings about soldiers and gov't, I have become extremely opinionated on the subject.

Wow...most idiotic post I've ever read. Why is it that there is a breed of people that believe that America has orchestrated every war that has ever been fought after 1776? Historians, living witnesses, and plenty of documentation argue to your contrary...why even bother? Is your mind that twisted?

Or am I so engrossed in groupthink that I've accepted history as fact without considering anything? That seems to always be the response to me making this argument.

So historians from all over the world who spend their lives putting together biographies, events leading up to wars, the finer details....why aren't they all "America is a big Nazi funder blah blah." I think you're confusing independent businesses having interests in Nazi Germany with America directly funding them.

Yes, some businesses continued to conduct business during the war (allegedly, Prescott Bush was a part of this). But how is this all 'America?'
