"The Freedom Movement has suffered a great loss. Kent Snyder, chairman of my presidential campaign, lost his tragic battle with pneumonia last week. Kent was a true lover of liberty. He was an American patriot. He was my friend. And, he will be missed.

"Tragic battle with Pnuemonia"???

Are you fucking kidding me in THIS day and age??
It's 2008 not 1880.. next time kick some of those campaign funds going to waste in your bank account to your friends medical costs so they wont be tragically killed by outdated diseases.

Of course, with a universal healthcare system, his tragic battle with pnuemonia would probably have been much shorter...

Go home and suck on your mother's teat Pakivelli. Kent's death had nothing to do with socialized healthcare. Kent died because he refused doctors orders to rest because he was fighting for something he held more important than his own life. Kent was a true patriot fighting for your freedom. Maybe you should try to figure out why he was willing to give his own life for this.

Universal healthcare is a nightmare. Believe me, you don't want it (I live in Canada). It eats up half the federal budget (then they get provincial funding and separate fund raisers on top of that). And what do we have to show for it? People dying in waiting rooms after waiting 18 hours just to have someone take a look at them. And there are still people who need rare and expensive treatments that are refused "universal" coverage. Go find a good health insurance provider and be glad you don't have to put up with this mess.

Dude, show a little fucking respect.
Pneumonia is very common even still and happens to kill many people of age including my Grandfather.

Weren't you the same cockbag trying to say Ron Paul was swindling the money in his campaign? Now your response is that he should have used the money to pay medical bills. How fucking idiotic are you?

The quick answer is that it wasn't money to be spent in that way. It was money donated for the campaign and unlike your neocunt heroes, these men have values that prevented them from putting themselves first.

That is a load of crap.
My friend dislocated his shoulder earlier and had to get the doctor to put it back for him. We were there for an hour max and it cost him nothing.

You want to talk about government waste?
Go take a look at how much the Federal government has wasted appeasing the oil industries and special interests including the US government.

Saying that the government policies towards health care is fine considering the Conservatives hate socialized health care and have been trying to introduce private services, which is why we have slow wait times to begin with. All our med school grads would get recruited by US hospitals and they wouldn't step in to stop it.

These are outright lies. Healthcare making up for half of the federal government budget?

FFS, it's not even a federal responsability! They administer a SINGLE hospital in whole country (and it's unconstitutionnal) So you are saying this hospital cost nearly 100 billions dollars to operate each year? Quit your propaganda shit, you suck at it.

And finally for the haters, have some fucking respect. This man maybe had some fucked up political views, but he was still a man, and deserve some respect.

My condolences. But while pneumonia is a common disease, dying from it ISNT so common as it used to be. Especially for those with decent healthcare.

And yes i was and i still am. You're telling me that all the money donated to his failed campaign that is magically going.. hmmm WHERE? and he couldnt kick a few thousand to the aid and care of his 'dear good friend?'
Pffft, Ron Paul is the cockbag, sir, not I, for pointing out that if you're going to accept millions of dollars into your private coffers on a failed attempt to run for president, the least you could do is take some of the money you are shaving off the top and get your SUPPORTERS AND FRIENDS some decent antibiotics.

The quick answer is that it wasn't money to be spent in that way.

In what way is it being spent NOW?

It was money donated for the campaign

A campaign that is so dead in the water that most people arent even aware he is STILL RUNNING..

And Universal Healthcare is a SHAM. It is failing in every other country that has tried it. The evidence is there, it's all over the place, go look it up.
Kent would have died waiting to get diagnosed for Pneumonia if you and your liberal buddies had your way, because he'd have been sitting around waiting for Lakisha to get her third std check-up this week.

"My condolences. But while pneumonia is a common disease, dying from it ISNT so common as it used to be. Especially for those with decent healthcare."

Nonsense. Pneumonia generally sets in after the person is already fucked up. For alot of cancer victims, it's what kills them as their immune system is shot and they can't fight off infections.
Yes, health care and treatments have improved and continue to do so, but if you think all of that is due to private hospitals, you're mistaken.

Yes, because it's the responsibility of the Ron Paul donators somehow to fund the health care for Ron Paul's friends and associates. Do you realize just how contradictory that is to everything these men stand and stood for? Look at republican assholes like Tom Delay who has been busted so many times taking/ giving kickbacks to friends.

Just where are your values, or do you even know what those are?

"A campaign that is so dead in the water that most people arent even aware he is STILL RUNNING.."

You do know that he stopped running for president a few weeks ago right?

Too bad that with him quitting, he's got more recognition in the mainstream press now, and more supporters learning about his ideals. He's got more people willing to stand up against this neocon menace you keep supporting for whatever unknown reason.

"And Universal Healthcare is a SHAM. It is failing in every other country that has tried it. The evidence is there, it's all over the place, go look it up.

This is by far the most laughable and contradictory comment. If the US had socialized health care, this entire argument would be moot as he could have just gone to a doctor at any point and been covered for services. The private care system you tout failed him, just like it fails millions of Americans who are treated like second class citizens.

At least we have STD clinics that anyone can go to anytime, discreetly, and not worry about some insurance agent turning down an HIV exam because it's not part of your coverage.

"CANCER VICTIMS"..
AIDS victims..
Foolish Elderly people.. Those people die from pnuemonia because of OTHER complications.

Private healthcare by the way is what LEADS us in medical breakthroughs. THey are the ones pioneering new techniques and treatments.. why? Because capitalism is great. Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door.
Healthcare is a business like any other, and business promotes innovation.

I'm not saying it's right, but hey, since he's not doing anything ELSE with his money, might as well kick a little over to a dying buddy, dont you think?
What do you think is going to happen to that money after November?
You just think about that a little while..

You do know that he stopped running for president a few weeks ago right?

Yes, i see on his website (that i never visit) that he has indeed called it quits a couple months ago. I missed the news of that, but thats probably because nobody gave a damn enough to even bother reporting it. I stand corrected. So.. about that campaign money and all those internet money bombs?

Not at all. He COULD have gone to a doctor for services if we had socialized healthcare.. and then he would have died waiting to be seen by a doctor because of the outrageous waiting times.
Have you been to a free clinic recently for a simple STD check? If so, you'd realize how piss poor a job they are doing. You have to make your reservations literally MONTHS in advance and when you finally get there, the battery of tests is done at literally the cheapest cost possible.
Sorry, but i'd rather get my STD checks with the best accuracy possible with the best technicians, doctors, and equipment possible.
Sure, i have to pay for it, but i have a simple rule that has worked for me quite well all through my life:

Quality over quantity. Every time.

FidoQuick Take On The RNC
Being an open minded individual, I decided to spend a couple hours watching the Republican national convention in St Paul, or Minneapolis, Minnesota, or wherever it is. I had initially tuned in to watch Sarah Palin’s address, in order to maybe get a read on what she may be all about. I regret that I couldn’t get that far. After viewing Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani speak to the delegates, I felt an overwhelming need to seek asylum in another country. ...
