"Not like a gameboy or so, with a cartridge you could swap out to play another game, but a single game completely hard coded and embedded in the chips so it was only a single game."

I went to another 80s relic "Consumers Distributing" where you go into the place, pick something out in a catalogue, and they order it and you pick it up later. I chose one of those handheld games for my birthday one year - had 2 "controllers" and everything.

Shit like that comes free in a box of cereal these days.

All seems old except the TV which still seems futuristic - I live in a town of over a quarter of a million people but Channel 5 is not available, digital coverage is not available. Will we EVER have TV coverage in the east of England?

^That's the problem in England, their internet also sucks. England's infrastructure lags 2 decades behind the rest of the civilised world. That goes for everything they have from roads and railroads to their water and gas pipes, electricity, sewage, telephone and internet. Heck, I'm in Holland and I can play with a 40 ping on a server in America and get a 280 ping on a server in England.

Are you retarded or something? You mean you would have actually stuck with the Betamax, even though they stopped selling tapes for it like 18 years ago?

Yeah, maybe I should have just held onto that Betamax until the late 90s and DVD players were out right? Idiot.

why do i always get here when its too late...
anyway, regardless of its popularity, it was purchased at a time when it was considered equal to VHS, its quality is 100x greater, and as such was a GOOD choice.
also, id have both, and had as many beta tapes as i could get my hands on. actually, i did do that.

Ever utter the words “It’s cold”… everReal men aren’t stopped by pesky things like low temperatures. If there is a shelter to be built, Nazis to be killed, or wood to be chopped, you can bet there is also a blizzard going on outside. It is how the universe works. We can never have anything nice. Peeing outside… at least once a week… is mandatorySometimes a man just has to turn off the TV, stand up, walk outside, and piss all over a tree. Dogs do this to mark th...
