I disagree with the waiting to swim myth.

You body does in fact send more blood to the stomach to help digest food. It's the same principle as a charlie horse in your thigh muscle, low blood flow.

Personally speaking, I have only enough blood in my body to operate it and my brain. Should I gain an erection I lose about 40% of my brain functions. Therefore, should I eat then swim, I'm sinking like a stone with a hard on.
