Also the ability to unshout/bash an article would be nice, im sure everyone has clicked the wrong one at some point and thought, shhhhiiiitttt.

If there was an option to watch an article (comments, thread etc), so that when you start bullying some random fool, you don't forget after the article has left the frontpage, could prolong a good ol flame war by months if done right,ie option to watch all, or just things that quote or refer to your name.

NSFW is stupid, SW is a social news site, not spankwire. When I come here I want news (and an argument!) not porn. If I wanted porn I would got a porn site, not SW. Simple

Ban NSFW + all pictures with the word FAIL in them. Its just fucking lazy

I think selling merchandise would be the best solution. Not only does it bring in revenue, but it's free advertising as well. You don't need to replace ALL of the ads, just the really annoying ones (the popups and redirects). The ads have gotten me to the point where I'm about to quit coming to this site altogether.

If you want to keep the stupid ten comments per page idea, how about putting the option to raise it to unlimited on the front page. Same for the NSFW option. Put the option on the front page! Theres a nice open spot right below the shoutwire logo on the bottom left of the page just begging for these options to be placed there. And for gods sake higher some help for the coder of this site. or maybe call Firefox! they might be able to get to the bottom of this!

Odd. I went to my profile, changed it from "10" to "unlimited", and that's that. I have never had to change it again.

The comment preference is cookie based, so if you delete the SW cookie, you'll have to re-select you comment preference.

Also, FF users who get a blank page when you first visit SW - LOAD YOUR PROFILE PAGE FIRST. Works for me.

Oh and could you fix the post comment function please. I hit post comment and it said done but nothing happened on my page. I'm getting pretty good at finding my way around shoutwire. I knew that the post was submitted even though nothing changed, so I hit the shoutwire logo to bring me to the front page...nothing. so I hit upcoming news and I was there immediately. From there I hit the hot stories logo and I finally got to the front page.

I dunno , I like content of the site , i mean articles , editorials and comments .

I hate execution , how it all looks , advertisement , redirects , loading time , various crap everywhere .

The most annoying thing I cannot get used to is that while one half of the screen ( left one )is dedicated to CONTENT , the other part is dedicated to CRAP ( the right one ) . It makes me constantly feel like I have a 10 inch monitor or something .

After two weeks looking through the site , I realized that it's not that I cannot get used to it , it's that it SUCKS very much beyond the point of getting used to it and it sucks the same way it sucked two weeks before .

And I have no proposals , because I know not where to start . Fuck it .

If people are driven away by NSFW content, they're prolly not the type of people we want here. Yea, some people access from work. Well, they shouldn't access from work on the days that are designated NSFW.
