A look as to where the U.S. might go to for energy, if oil prices continue to rise and if supplies are threatened.

So to all the people who are saying that OPEC is falsifying the shortages and raising prices astronomically just to make a ton of cash--without having a single reputable source to link to about this claim--here's my question: why would oil companies commit suicide by forcing people to look elsewhere for bountiful energy? What they're doing doesn't make good business sense if there isn't a real reason why prices are high and they can barely meet the global demand.

I may not be 100% spot on with this but here's my theory:

If the oil companies were any smart (Which they are), they would be looking into all additional forms and sources of energy already and devising ways to perfect it.

This is why major oil and gas companies will buy out any alternative energy engine or device and never put it to use. They are deliberately suppressing new cleaner, more efficient sources, to get the cash of course.

Now, they are raising prices on purpose citing "Shortages" is complete nonsense because they KNOW most people aren't smart enough but are ignorant enough to just keep buying gas anyway.

People use cars. Cars use gas. Simple as that. The oil companies know this.

They could have raised the prices a little in the beginning, and studied their increase or decrease in profits. Then raised it a little more on purpose again, and seen an increase. People will non-stop complain about how high gas prices are but still goto the pumps every few weeks, it's so hypocritical.

But I personally think it goes much further than that. By raising gas and oil prices, inflation is increased as a result. If they can boost inflation as much as they can, the middle class of NA (Which is eroding away more and more each year) will start to be destroyed even faster, ultimately reaching the NWO goal of them = The elite rich, and then everyone else equal to that of poor, lowly peasants.

Us being lowly peasants is vastly beneficial to them, because it will dumb down our mentality, and our ability to critically think or resist, perhaps even to gain knowledge.

The Alberta Oil sands is the 3rd largest deposit of oil in the world and it's barely even being extracted right now. Also I heard that there is enough oil in Northern alaska to supply the entire the united states with unlimited oil for over 100 years(I can't confirm this).

They are in my opinion, straining the economy to their (and their masters`) advantage, to keep people on edge. It's all part of the plan that I don't think anyone but them will ever fully understand.

1. With the tree huggers blocking our reserves in North America, we are forced to look elsewhere. To see where our money goes all you need to do is google Dubai.

2. According to research, we've hit peak oil production, meaning we are in a decline to what we have on hand to make gas. Estimates put us at 40 more years of oil (which is false if you consider the Yukon/Alaskan fields).

3. I just bought a motorcycle, I'm getting 65 miles a gallon. I don't give a rats ass. Hit the fuckers driving HV, HV2, HV3, and monstrous trucks for no other reason than because they can.

4. Oil is a limited commodity. The Oil Barons can do whatever the fuck they want and call it "Demand and Supply". It would be the same if we only had a limited amount of non saline water. Those who have the money to buy it will. Those who don't.....

My theory is that we, the motherfucking people, are paying for Iraq war reparations through inflated oil costs. If my theory is right, there'll be some bullshit story next about how shitloads of oil was found and we r savd.

now i have not looked this up and am not planning to research this at any time cuz it would piss me off, but havent all the major oil/gas companies been posting record profits for the past couple of years? havent they been posting increases in profits as the price as gas increases?

there are tons of ways to deal with gas if given a little funding and a little research. cars can be put out on the road with 50 mpg easily, and if car companies were actually on board could produce super lightweight composite cars that could probably get 100+mpg

i understand this is a free market situation and the companies have every right to do this, but i do believe that the government should step in and control this. that last part is an opinion, and an un-educated one. i'm an engineer, and know that there are a million ways to cut back gas consumption given a little bit of a chance.

Why we will never 'run out' of gas:

IT'S A CHEMICAL, IT CAN BE MADE IN A LAB.

Just now commercially viable (price) yet- but we are rapidly approaching that point.

Agreed. Free market is a fantastic idea and should be protected. But these oil companies and OPEC need to be stopped. Monopolies need to be stopped.

That wildlife reserve in alaska would only give the US oil for one year.....thats it.....what the fuck is one year....I'm not a hippy, but their right on that one...Hell if Canada weren't part of the global market in oil, we'd have enough to sustain our own country for 550 more years.........170 or so billion proven barrels.....i'm sure we could take care of the states for another 50 w/o hurting ourselves too much.....but i sure hope we charge ya 400 plus a barrel.....

FidoFuck You, I Like My Bike
Up with bikes. Bicycles are the greatest invention since the wheel. Really, there are 2 wheels, making them doubly as good. The downside to bicycling is dealing with idiots in automobiles. White knuckled, bleary eyed buffoons in a hurry to go nowhere. Heads up during a collision, there’s no contest between a bike and a car, the car wins. The only upside is perhaps the opportunity to be thrown headfirst through the dumbfuck’s windshield and then be able in your blood...
