I remember a couple of years back that the Orange order were behind a campaign to blame the West of Scotlands sectarian problem on Catholic schools, when this was shown to be false they came out and claimed there was no sectarian problem.

Scout, you ask a guy to take it easy, but all your comments about Rangers fans have been filled with the kind of bile and vitriol we're trying to get rid of in Scottish football. Its pure hypocrisy. I'm surprised you can't see the irony of the situation.

None of the Rangers supporters I know would behave the way the MINORITY behaved in Manchester. And, remember, that according to the police it was a minority of fans who caused the problems among the over 100,000 that were there.

It was a great shame that it happened, those supporters involved did the other 99,000-odd fans, the team, and Scotland, a great disservice. But maybe UEFA, the city and the police should look at their own actions (or inactions) and realise that there were problems with the way they allowed that day to progress. For example, letting people get shit-faced for a whole day before a game is something we (The Old Firm) learned was something that was not conducive to an orderly event... If you look at footage of Scottish Transport Police you'll see them taking booze off fans, both because you're not allowed to consume booze on the train and because of the public safety issue.
