I wasn't able to read the two ads article, but as i saw the layout...

...

does it really impact anything that much? Its an additional wheel-scroll, and I'm past it. maybe a next-page click to see what i've missed.

While it may be bitchworthy that the article was deleted...i think that the crusades of shoutwire's past were of more worth than this (which is the deletion of an article about a mere annoyance, which is to be compared with the deletion of many articles about several nauseatingly painful annoyances)

this is getting pretty fuckin ridiculous, this used to be a place I could come and get alternative news, other than what CNN was saying, now its just plastered with ads and redirects and shit, I'm looking for somewhere else to go, but there isn't many other places to go that aren't already like this censorshit or close to it

I don't give a flying fuck about the extra ad. I wouldn't have said shit or raised a stink.

What I DO care about is the deletion of front page material because it's critical of SW.

That's not how we roll here, and that's NEVER going to be how we roll.

The irony isn't lost on me. Still, for the greater good...

No I won't spend $29 on a Directory or start my conquest now; or any time for that matter.

The war of Shoutwire was a long and arduous battle. One that was fought to keep the rights of all SW-goers, young and old and to vanquish the evil of Hollywire. All of that metaphorical bloodshed and we're still getting slapped in the face by the cold, wet hand of barely-legal-and-on-the-beach-teens. I for one have been left tender cheeked.

We have our own porn, thank you and I don't want anymore softcore eyesores littering up my screens. It's time for the owner to respect our rights!
Donkey shows or GTFO!

Edit:
On a much more serious note though: censoring editorials about anything is not the right path to go down. As we've seen in the past, censorship always starts off as "for the greater good" but cascades into a dictatorship of 'what we want you to see and what we don't want you to see'. Last time I checked, that is not how it goes.

Agreed, this is absoulte BS. The right to complain is one of the primary reasons I visit this site so much. I've learned to live with the ads, because without them, the business has no viable source of revenue.

"And now I give the floor over to our guests of honour, the ShoutWire users - both of them." - Spot on!

I don't have a couple million to buy out Tubearoo.

Agreed. Promoting ShoutWire is futile. Nobody would ever come here twice, because nobody wants constant pop-ups and redirects.

"Shoutwires administration has gone to shit"

You wouldn't be able to do a god-damned thing.

Admins have no control over anything except content. Even then, we can be superceded by the owner and the developer. We are effectively powerless to do anything except bitch.

The links don't bother me, it's that fucking redirect that crashes my firefox every fucking time.
