From the Red Cross website:

"AIDS (a result of HIV infection) is caused by a virus (HIV). There are no known cases of saliva by itself spreading HIV (the virus that causes AIDS)."

Yeah it was calculated that in order to even have a possible chance of contracting HIV that way you'd have to drink over a pint of saliva.

If some dude spit bloody HIV ridden saliva at me, I'd beat him to death, or apparently I could wait until they sentenced him to 35 years.

Hopefully an educated judge will do the appeal proccessing case. But spitting in the eye and mouth of an officer is pretty bad. Not bad enough for 35 years, but punishable in some way.

Wow so spitting at an officer (granted he had HIV) can get you more prison time then murder, thats just fucked up.
