6/10 are obese?  I have one friend who is fat.  I don't know if I'd class him as obese, but all my other friends are svelte.  I think I weigh about 116lbs.  Maybe I live in a slim city.

Well the Body Mass Index chart is antiquated and not a very good indicator for "fatness". You may be a little bigger, but that does not mean you are "unhealthy".
Look at all the skinny fucks that are unhealthy. Not to say there are not more real fat folks in Britian than before. Odd, just like in the U.S. the more welfare or dole you have, the more fat people you get, it seems.
They seem to go hand in hand.
Poor folks certainly are not starving to death, that is for sure.
