Just go believe in what you want. Teach your kids to think logically and critically and let them make decisions for themselves.

If you see it as your goal for your children to accept Jesus as their savior as fast as possible, your also saying they cannot think critically about everyday stuff, like evolution. If a logical an critical thinker decides to become Christian, thats totally fine, but imho not after he has reviewed other aspects of life that might contradict certain things religion tells you.
I know a few Christians too that do believe in evolution as well. That is only possible if you're able to think critically, like Micmac said before. You have to be able to doubt anyone that makes rules and guidelines about how you live your life. This counts for politics, but also for religion.

Also what gives you the weird idea that if evolution exists, we must then surely be the decendants of a rock :S....

Truth is that the elements present on earth (when it was still melting hot) provided the possibility for aminoacids to synthesise. This theory has been proven right by experiments.

And yes, DNA research can tell you that we are 98.5% (roughly) identical to chimpansees. And since you don't believe in luck or chance (if your a true Christian) but in destiny, we defenately have to be related to apes, and it must be God's will as well. He is the one that has made us so similar to them.

And for people that think there were no transitional species that lie between apes and homo sapiens, read a book. About Homo Erectus for instance.

Would be nice if you actually had some points to make me change my mind. I don't want to offend you (not really at least) I'm just trying to share my point of view. Maybe you'll learn one day that blindly following some leader (be it a dictator or a priest or Jesus for that matter) without questioning any of the rules, is something that is very dangerous.

The Vatican has denied many scientific findings in the past and delayed science as well. Just in 1992 Galilei Galileo was finally officially forgiven by the Vatican for claiming the world was round.

One day they will have to accept evolution too..... BECAUSE I SAY SO!!!!
