This is how the RIAA searches for "copyright infringement". They basically dont stop seaching your computer until they find something.

this gives them too much credit. They dont check if a file is really theirs, they will just prosecute you for having a file with a matching name.

"According to the RIAA employee, on occasions the RIAA will send out "prelitigation settlement letters" to the alleged pirates demanding thousands of dollars as an alternative of going to court. If this happens, as a courtesy act, the RIAA will download the music first and verify the music is being infringed. On the bright side, the RIAA apparently does not single out any particular college campus."

Wow. As a "courtesy act" the RIAA will break copyright law to have evidence so they can extract money from someone else for the same deed. Pathetic.

"If the company still does not have an identical match a live person will listen to the song as a last resort."

Yes, a last resort. Because even they don't want to listen to the garbage that is mainstream pop.

Most of those idiots have their own computers in their dorm rooms and use lime wire from theri dorm rooms. However to the RIAA that is using the college internet connection.

Nobody is heading to the library to install kazaa and start DLing music. No one with computer smarts that is. Sadly many, not so techy, college students do think its smart to use limewire from campus, or to use limewire at all for that matter.

The only good use for limewire is to get great amateur porn.

I had a USB flash drive with Frostwire and tor on it that I'd use to download stuff on university computers.

FidoMeet Joe Sixpack
Howdy everybody, Joe Sixpack here. I never met you all before, but I was having some pops last night with my bud Fido and he said if I wrote this down, he’d fix up the spellun’ and put it on the internet. He’s mostly full of shit, but I did it anyway. This is about Thursday night. The wife had the kids at football practice and going by her sister’s and I was home tipping back some cold ones and looking for something to watch on TV. I seen the debate thing was on b...

oMissPixyoParents, Stop Dressing Your Daughters Like Sluts
One of the most disturbing trends in modern times has to do with the sliding scale of what's the appropriate standard for children's clothing. ShoutWire's HockeyGod once wrote an awesome editorial detailing an experience that involved chili dogs and teens at a mall wearing belly exposing, pants-low outfits. You've seen these types of get-ups when visiting the mall, I'm sure. There are certain lines of clothing designed to exploit a teenager's desire to mimic slutty...
