Those with high moral standards beware... thar be evil nigh!
The internet faces new threats with each passing day. We have been threatened with copyright infringement resulting in hundreds of thousands of videos and pictures being removed from a multitude of websites. Net neutrality is a rising issue that companies like virgin media will go so far as to call the subject "bollox". Internet censorship has been prevalent since I was a young lad visiting the gamefaqs boards (years before the gamespot merger deal went through). There was, as with most all message boards, a group of people who really did not give two fucks about censorship. The group who will post ASCII pictures of goatse or perform some google hacks and post a thread containing a moderator's home telephone number and address. They ducked around language filters by telling noobs to "go f|_|ck themselves sh!tless". Some will point their pristine fingers and call this group immature or childish. They say these people receive no attention from friends and family in real life so they act this way to gain acceptance. They derive pleasure in the attention be it negative or positive. This is simply not true in most cases as pleasure comes directly from your annoyance. If anything you see mentally perturbs you or angers you... Success is had and a corruption of the word "lol" has been generated, much to the collective's delight. These days this threat of haughtiness is of my greatest concern.
With the popularity of anti-scientology growing like a California wildfire, the number of people who call themselves anonymous are increasing significantly. With this comes what some might refer to as "newfags" but please, have no qualms with them, everyone starts somewhere. What we see now is a general increase in “internet population” and in this eclectic yet similar group you will discover all sorts of different people. The problem is some of these people (this problem has been prevalent for awhile as I mentioned before) feel it is necessary to force their values upon others. Be it religious, personal, or legal values they uphold it is all the same to me. These people are branded with the term: "moralfags". A moralfag is someone who must stop funny events while looking down on you at the same time. They seem to believe that since their own convictions are so profound it automatically sets precedence over the entire internet. No one owns the internet, not even Google. You can read this entire editorial and tell me to "fuck off" because I just wasted 5 minutes of your life (15 if you're a dumbass) and I can’t do shit about it because I don't own the internet either. While the word is relatively ambiguous, it can carry other connotations that may or may not have been mentioned. An alternate definition is provided to us from a certain encyclopedia:
"Moralfags believe that the internet is serious business. They also believe that they are making shit difference in the world by prancing in front of Scientology with Guy Fawkes masks and longcat signs. Moralfags can sometimes be found in pedophile and serial killer imageboards telling everyone that they are sick fucks (which they are) not because salting the earth is fun, but because they legitimately care if children get raeped and if hookers die from something other than AIDS."
Moralfags seem to exist in the most self-destructive places as well and they are most certainly not confined to "anonymous" or imageboards. Whether or not they purposefully choose to stagnate in message boards or they simply jump at a random opportunity to shove their own convictions down other's throats to get a sense of self-indulgence other than sticking cucumbers up their own asses remains a mystery. I have reason to suspect both are accurate. These bitches are constantly sticking their noses in places where they don't belong. Fortunately for everyone, the internet hate machine is a free country. I cannot demand a banning from the internet just as others cannot demand my censorship. Instead I inquire to the moralfags: Why? Why do you feel that because you abide by a religious codes, laws, or societal taboos that you can tell the internet (me) what it can or cannot say? Where as you gladly hold the door open at the bank for a Jew or a cripple. I will point and laugh; this does not make you better than me. Some people have the cajones to go against the norm and declare things such as: "being a faggot is super gay" or "those Nazis really weren't that bad of guys". While you pretentiously promote your "nobility", the internet sees through your insecurity. Since you're testicles have become emaciated or trapped inside a feminist's ball-cage, do you feel it is necessary to demean those who hold onto their pride? It is a cold cut case of ostentatious haughtiness. Well, you can take your morals and shove 'em straight up Mr. Goatse's asshole.
When the internet was created by Al Gore he founded it upon the principle that it was "no man's land". It is a free-thinking man's haven that has provided the world with nothing but entertainment, education, and productivity. Who is anyone to say "You cannot think this, it is immoral!" or deny you a right to voice your concerns or opinion? It might be considered hypocritical of me to come down upon moralfags for speaking their mind too. However, my answer to this is: I have the right to say anything I feel like saying, you also have the right to protest me but in doing so this only reinforces every right I have to stand up, give you two middle fingers and say "fuck you, ya cunt". Regardless of shoddy or illogical arguments our "middle finger" rights must be preserved. The day these rights are taken from us is the day I go to war (much as many folks from Shoutwire did when hollywire censored bulshoy's, zero's and my editorials). It is either a war against the censurers or it is a congregation of pussies down on their knees blindly or unwittingly sucking the moral cock. So, I stand proudly by our rights and fight (flame) to the bloody death anyone who disagrees or seriously condemns the immorality of the internet. Most importantly of all remember that this is not your internet, which also means it's not their internet either.
