Iranian Mosque Bombing Terrorism Backed by US, Britain

Authorities said Thursday that a previously reported explosion in the southern city of Shiraz on April 12 that left 14 people dead and more than 200 injured was terrorist sabotage and that the United States and Britain had links to the group responsible.

Yeah, yeah..My girlfriend says that all the time.., but back on point. C'mon.. it would be stupid to blow up a mosque...or even back people that do. Yeah right,...do the only thing that would instantly unite every terrorist nutjob in the middle east..Even if the U.S did give money to an anti-iranian government group..There is no way in hell...We would allow a mosque to be blown up.. That wouldn't be smart..

US US US US. Did you guys not see Britain also could have played a major role in this attack?

Also, before you fucktards start jumping down US's throat. Please provide evidence for the "US and Britain sanctioned" attack. All this report tells me is that it could have been homemade explosives set up by 6 IRANIANS or Ammo left over from the war with iraq.

As other posters have pointed out these kinds of actions are more par for the course in regards to America's involvement in the affairs of foreign governments. Namely, look at how we conducted ourselves in regards to central and south America. All of that took place in the 80's. Look at who's given positions of power and influence in todays administration: many of the same people responsible for our governments despicable actions during the same time period. Our government officials truly believe that anything America does has to be good, because America can only be force for good. With this mindset in their heads they have helped to perpetuate some of the worst abuses of the 20th century.

Sorry to bring up Hitler again but he provides a good template to relate to in that he thought he was only carrying out the greater good. America is equally as capable of carrying out evil in the name of good, and has done so for quite some time. Anyone not willing to accept that should just disconnect from the real world and turn on another episode of American Idol and leave the real issues of the world to real people.

If your objective is to terrify the civilian population it isn't. Hence "terrorist attack."

You clearly lack an understanding of Middle East politics and the politics of Islam. Keep in mind that Sunni's are bombing Shia mosques in Iraq and that hasn't united that country. I'm no expert myself, but I know enough to understand that Islam is not a monolithic term or idea, though it tries to be. There are various groups and splinter groups each with their own unique agendas in mind.

What exactly makes you say that? Invading Iraq as a direct response to 9/11 wasn't smart, but we did it anyway. Leaving too few troops behind for an occupation wasn't smart but we did that anyway. Firing the Iraqi army after toppling the government wasn't smart but we did that anyway.

Any statement defending or supporting the U.S. in any way shape or form is going to fall upon deaf, stubborn ears who have convinced themselves that America is irredeemably evil and worthy of endless suspicion and blame for every misfortune that befalls anyone anywhere in the world at any time.

Dude, ..If it even looks like the U.S and had anything to do with a Mosque being bombed or funded the bombers there would be hell to pay..Not only would the nutjob zealots have a major propaganda piece to club us over the head with. The Dems would rip Bush a new one. Obama and Hillary would waste no time attacking McCain with this little gem.

Point taken and noted..Operation Ajax in 1953 was a different time and a very different middle east. Back then the bigwigs in washington had a united country and a commie under every tree. I'm not trying to justify what happenned back then. I'm saying such an operation or project today would have too much political fallout. Still i know this is a very imperfect world and anything is possible. Still if anyones got proof, would love to see it.
