This obsession with female clothing had started early, when Armand was around 2. He had found an old Minnie Mouse dress the family had gotten at Disneyland. He put it on and then refused to take it off.

"It was like, 'NO!' " Danielle says. "Feet in a stance, a strong stance, just standing there.... She pretty much from that point slept in it, stayed in it all day."

Any effort to remove the dress would provoke an outburst. In fact, the more Robert and Danielle tried to limit Armand's behavior, the more explosive their son became. And it only got worse as Armand got older.

"The terrible twos became terrible threes and fours and horrible fives and intolerable sixes," Robert says. Armand "seemed on edge all of the time."

There were two-hour tantrums. Tornadoes of tears and screaming that left the family exhausted. Any comment could set Armand off, and, once triggered, there was no controlling him.

Infuriating. Absolutely infuriating. I first heard this over NPR while driving home, and it drives a man insane listening to this drivel.

Weak Liberal pussies who refuse to beat and properly train their children. Allowing their child to exert dominance over his parents, allowing him to make decisions on complete ignorance. A 5-11 year old child has no experience whatsoever in the real world, and nowhere near the judgment or reasoning ability of an adult; and no way in hell should be allowed to make such life-altering decisions. And for the love of God, they are allowing him to inject himself with massive amounts of chemicals to alter his natural body!? They have ruined his life... Now he will spend the rest of his days as a confused transsexual perversion of nature, who is a disgrace to humanity.

(I know that not all Liberals are pussies like these people were, but you get the stereotype)

Wow.. Just fucking wow. Instead of trying to reason with a 3 or 4 year old who keeps trying on girl's clothes you could tell the child:

"If you wear girls clothes again you will be in timeout"

that doesnt work?

"If you wear girls clothes again i will spank you."

Rinse lather repeat.

Although, with a kid like this it probably isnt as easy as that.. They should not have taken the advice of that wacked out hack of a therapist. It is NOT OK for a boy to act like a girl or behave in the manner he is now.

This is a very perturbing story hanafi.

Also the only uplifting thing i read in the article:
"Spack, the endocrinologist at Children's Hospital in Boston, says that because the gonads do not mature before they are exposed to the hormones of the opposite sex, the gonads become too damaged to produce either viable eggs or viable sperm."

I don't see a problem with it. Some people are simply compelled to be the other gender, and if you do not help them when they're younger to realize that aspiration, you can really fuck them up later on. And don't tell me that a child is unable to make this decision. These compulsions do not typically go away as you age; in fact, they will likely grow stronger. And without the treatment to inhibit his growth as a male, he will face strong gender identity issues as he grows up. And in his case, it doesn't sound like a spur of the moment action. He's been doing this for all of his life, which suggests to me that he is very serious about being a female.

If I could, I would cross the gender line, but I'm cool with being a male also.

^Hunter, i'm thinking long term perspective here. I dont want any 11 year old to breed regardless.

In 20 years when this kid is an adult and <b>HE</b> wants to have a kid with something he can't.

I guess I was a little harsh on him. I am sort of glad he will keep overpopulation down and he wont be able to spread any of his disorders onto a future generation.

Calling me friendless(which is baseless and wrong) doesnt change the fact these parents let a screaming little kid run their life. That dad needs to get a back bone and take his balls back from his wife's testicle safe. Then he can muster up the courage to bitch slap his son across the face.

I'm sorry but this kid needs a good beating. Not for wanting to be a girl, but for throwing 2 hour tantrums.

Kids throw tantrums and timeouts sometimes punishment is needed.

To the parents - beat his ass. Whoop his ass and tell him that he can do what he wants when he's 18.
