AS thousands of bodies remained piled in rice paddies, and millions more victims of Cyclone Nargis faced disease and starvation, Burma's secretive military junta continued to keep the world at bay last night.

I read that the US and France are considering airdropping aid into the country without approval from the military junta. They should go with that.

I was against invading Iraq.
I would be all for invading Burma.
Too bad Hanafi is right. There's no oil there. The Junta needs to be ousted though.

Myamar is an ally of China. If we mess with them, we get to deal with both. Not a good idea.

We can take Burma, China & NK together.

Although first we would need to pull out of Afghanistan/Iraq.

My only worry would be the USN, ASM's hurt.

Shame on the military junta in Burma for allowing its people to suffer and die, when countless countries are offering aid to them. It would seem that they are more concerned with maintaining their power over their country, then in helping its citizens. The thing is, if any country wanted to take them out of power, it could to it easily, since most of their citizens have other concerns, and their infrastructure is all but non-existent. They may not realize it, but I would think that this lack of compassion would signal the end of their reign. No one will forget their response to this, and that even now wheels are being set in motion to make them pay. It will only be a matter of time...
