I'm a fan of Rage, but they are totally redundant. It's like listening to an old blues album. You hear the first 3 songs and you've heard the whole album.

60's- Dylan is a good songwriter but a shitty musician. Plenty of people would kick the shit out of him, and I love Dylan.

70's- The Clash and The Doors could easily be replaced with bands like anything with Clapton in it: Derek and the Dominoes, Cream...the Police, Aerosmith, and finally David Fucking Bowie. He is a genius who was always ahead of the times, writing music that led the way rather than following.

80's- Sonic Youth, so overrated. Liked the other choices. I'd replace Sonic Youth with Judas Priest, Dire Straits, the Cars or Foriegner. And how about Journey? They owned the 80's.

Fucking Billy Corgan and his crybaby band the Smashing Pumpkins. I'd give the Beastie Boys the rock vote just for coming out again and kicking everyones ass. Green Day, Weezer, Trent Reznor, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Black Crowes...just not fucking Billy Corgan.

00's....Modest Mouse (started in 90's), continuation of Radiohead, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Foo Fighters, Death Cab For Cutie...
