Canada is often thought of as a land of bland consensus and multicultural harmony - the last place where you would expect to see a religious minority up in arms, and journalists accusing the state of gagging freedom of speech.

@Hanafi You totally miss the idea of free speech. It means you can say what you want. Not that the government will force the media to use their resources to help you.

I mean COME ON.

The Committees have done some wonderful things and I don't want to take away from all the good. However there are some major flaws.

The following comment was made by a CHRC employee:

Not only is Canadian Senator Anne Cools is a Negro, she is also an immigrant! And she is also one helluva preachy cunt.
She does NOT belong in my Canada. My Anglo-Germanic people were here before there was a Canada and her kind have jumped in, polluted our race, and forced their bullshit down our throats. Time to go back to when the women nigger imports knew their place… And that place was NOT in public

That's not my Canada he's talking about, I'm sure many Canadians would agree.

Allowing Dr's to be sued for refusing to do surgery on transgendered individuals and then giving the same people Govt jobs?, people being allowed to smoke pot in someones place of business? and someone anyone, please explain to me how being asked to wear a helmet for safety violates human rights?

How do objective supporters of terrorism become poster boys for Human Rights in Canada? Why is one man allowed to have a one man crusade?

Here are 5 requirements to be a CHRC investigator:

1. Be legally blind - Very important when investigating a person or persons. Remembering what web pages look like counts!!!

2. Have no memory recollection skills what so ever and be well versed in sayings like - I don't recall." or "I don't remember" or some variation thereof.

3. Think "Potential-Crime" is a crime

4. Publicly state that Free Speech is an "American Concept"

5. Understand that complaints faxed in, can be refused as being on double sided paper and are not acceptable regardless of whats on said paper. Even though they were complaining about vile, disgusting remarks being made on the same site, being investigated.

With all the hate out there I find it an amazing fact, that not one case has actually had enough hate to merit criminal charges but enough
merit to award Mr.Warman with TAX FREE cash for damages. I need some of that hate.

I'm sad to be a Canadian, I'm sad I served my country for ten years, following in the footsteps of grand father and his father and most of my family so that people could enforce their own view of political correctness.

Their actions make me sad to be a Canadian.

You serious? Ok, try a little reductionism.

It's true that biking is safer with a helmet. However, it is also safer not to bike at all. At the same time, safer to not drive, not cross the street, not leave the house, and in fact, it is far safer to merely keep people in padded rooms. For their own good.

Normally, people navigate their way through their own lives by trading their safety for desire. That's all it boils down to. Yes, we can all stay in padded rooms with no sharp edges, and everything duct-taped up like some scene out of Final Destination the movie. But in order to feel like we've lived, we need to trade a little safety for experience. We need to choose our own risks.

Is risking helmetless rides worth feeling the wind in your hair? You know what? That's for that person to decide. Contrary to what the state usually seems to think, we do have our own brains, fully capable of judging the risks for ourselves. But what are the risks of denying someone these freedoms? There is a growing sense of despondency in our youth, because they are treated as fragile china dolls, and not allowed to LIVE. That's not dangerous? Imo, this is the real epidemic in our mixed-up modern era.

A caged rat is definitely safer than a free one. But which would you rather be?
