Mark Steyn should be sued. The quotes were clearly hate speech to me, this cause should be before a court. The sheer retardness of his comments show a below-than-average intelligence added with poor judgement and a severe lack of historical, demographical and sociological knowledge, or just plain racism.

There's a fine line between criticism and xenophobic maliciousness. These "critics" are in the same boat as Geert Wilders, Hirsi Ali and Robert Spencer--demagogues who liberally attack Islam and Muslims (not in the political sense). It's usually the same old arguments such as "Islam is a backwards religion/political system", "Muslims want to kill all infidels/rule the world" etc. etc.

These f*ckers make a career by scaring the population into fearing an otherwise unruffled minority/imaginary enemy, not so different from other figures in history. What we need is an Anti-McCarthy.

We do need a debate.

Muslims desperately want to debate and prove these false claims about Islam from right-wing extremists wrong. But the right-wing extremists just aren't man enough to sit down in a proper debate, because they know all their empty accusations would be shattered, so instead they prefer to toss their false rhetoric unopposed.

I beleive in freedom of speech. But the Muslims here just aren't getting any opportunity to exercise freedom of speech, when mainstream media channels are refusing to publish their side of the story.
