I'm not even gonna have an attempt at answering lots of these contradictions as it it would take about a fortnight or more, but it will be intersesting to see how many of shoutwires Christians decide to have a go at some of them, although, with it being Easter perhaps they won't be around, you probably would have gotten a greater response from them if you posted this on tuesday?

You missed a trick there jd with that one, but i'm assuming you have read the New Testament yourself, so i'll leave it for you to find.

2) It seems to be from those 2 passages that Mary was told first but never told Joseph who was later told by the Angel?

3)I don't understand the contradiction there jd, would you like to elaborate?

4)Is basically the same as 2. Is it not possible that the Angel told them both seperately?

5)There was 42 generations according to Matthew's gospel. Not too sure about Luke's.

With a novel as big as the bible, I would expect even more contradictions than these, and there probably are more.

I wonder what your view is on these contradictions, cause this is one of the aspects of christianity that always confuses me:
169 Jesus is God. Jn.10:30.
Jesus is the "image" of God. 2 Cor.4:4.
Jesus was a man approved by God. Acts 2:22.
170 Jesus and God are one in the same. Jn.1:1.
Jesus is beside himself. 8:34; etc.
171 Jesus is the Son of God. Jn.6:69; Jn.20:31.
Jesus is the Son of Man. Mt.18:11; Lk.21:27.

If it were all true, that would mean that he is the son of man, and so also my son and the son of every person. And since he's the son of God, I would be God as well. Now this does line up with my view on religion, but I wonder if you would agree.

Luckily I know the bible is nothing more than a bundle of incredible stories that are many times older than the bible itsself is. I'm not intending to ridicule any religion, it just amazes me how literally some people interpret what is written in an ancient book that is nothing more than a bundle of tales that all can be traced back to the Gilgamesh epic, in which the SUN (not the son) is the center of the religion. Even the crucifiction and rising from the death are explained in this ancient epic, as well as an arc with animals, etc.
