As a proud member of the Black community in America, I thank you Judge Cabrera. Someone had to stand up and stop us, since we werent willing to stop ourselves. Baby Clitoria indeed...

Some black people make efforts not to learn because it is seen as acting white. Or so I have heard. According to a study I have read, black women use these ridiculous names to do the opposite. I guess you could call it acting black. The study also gave some statistics about the percentage of all babies born in one year in L.A. or some place, which were given names that less than five people on record shared.

~75% of black children were given names that less than five other people on record have, compared to ~5% of white children.

EDIT:

names are supposed to have some meaning behind them, with the exception of "white names" because I haven't seen a single one that has a meaning behind it.

From http://www.behindthename.com,

Matthew: English form of Matthaios, which was a Greek form of the Hebrew name Mattityahu which meant "gift of Yaweh".
Luke: From the Greek name Loukas which meant "from Lucania"
Frank: From a Germanic name which referred to a member of the Germanic tribe, the Franks. The Franks settled in the regions now called France and the Netherlands in the 3rd and 4th century. They derived their tribal name from the name of a type of spear that they used.
Carl: German form of Charles.
Stephen: From the Greek name Stephanos meaning "crown".

Don't be so dense.

Why do names have to have meanings behind them?

Are we like fuckin native americans? Black Rain .. I'm sure would have a story behind him for which we'd sit around a campfire in the middle of a tp village.

Black people are a little behind in naming, they name like they're in an African tribe.

FidoFuck You, I Like My Bike
Up with bikes. Bicycles are the greatest invention since the wheel. Really, there are 2 wheels, making them doubly as good. The downside to bicycling is dealing with idiots in automobiles. White knuckled, bleary eyed buffoons in a hurry to go nowhere. Heads up during a collision, there’s no contest between a bike and a car, the car wins. The only upside is perhaps the opportunity to be thrown headfirst through the dumbfuck’s windshield and then be able in your blood...
