If there is one thing that pisses cops and the legal system off, it's stealing their morning donuts.

Its stupid that this counts as a "strike", I think the whole three strike system is ridiculous but I would support some sort of system where VIOLENT crimes or other serious shit is punished very harshly the second time(why even give them 3). We really gotta stop releasing the violent criminals back into society, lock em up for good I say!

Throw his ass in jail. If he's so pathetic he has to steal a donut, he'll be better off in jail getting 3 squares a day.

growing weed isnt a felony in california, in fact its quasi legal. if you are arrested for it you can get your card retroactivly to avoid a conviction, so enforcement is slight to nothing. im not sure what the hell this dude did but in every state u know shoplifting is not a felony. i guess in cali it isnt? or maybe because of his record? cali has fucked up laws.

@cadpig

i havent ether but there are safegaurds and checks and balences. he might be the first dude to appeal and win, who knows. and again to do more than 6 months you need a jury trial, something they would never waste on this shmuck, especialy since it would just draw more attention to the issue. do you honestly think a cali jurry would put this guy in jail for life for stealing a donnut?

I like it, if you haven't learned after the 2nd strike and know what happens on the 3rd then your just to stupid to live. Who cares about a donut HE WAS STEALING god knows what he took before he got cought YET AGAIN!

I thought the felony was assault because he pushed someone when he was trying to get away not the actual stealing the donut. Or am I thinking of a different donut theft if so what's with the stealing donut crime spree sweeping the nation.

One strike for violent premeditated crimes should be enough then this wouldn't happen.

In this case it his own dumb ass fault he knew he had two strikes and still he did it.
