Does anyone remember a million citizens of Iran parading in the street in support of the US after 9/11, when the world was in support of the US, shortly before Bush declared Iran an axis of evil and attacked his ally, Iraq, with less than honourable intentions?

For one thing, defeating a standing army is never a problem for the US. We'll win every single time against a conventional enemy, and whoever the opponents are will pay dearly.

That says NOTHING about our ability to police an area. It's why we were whipped in Vietnam and why our soldiers continually fall w/o definitive progress in Iraq.

All we would manage to do in Iran is steamroll any formal defenses, destabilize the nation, ice relations with 'allies' and invoke the wrath of insurgents in a very unstable area. We would not be able to contain it, let alone the horror the lives of everyday, good Iranians would become.

There is NO WAY Americans should invade Iran.

^ military action does not always involve an invasion.

People seem to assume that any actions against Iran will involve some sort of occupation.

Why? We dont need to occupy them, just hurt them.

At any rate, our only goal is to remove their nuclear capability and stop them from supplying insurgents. Strategic military strikes can handle that.

As for America's ability to 'occupy' other countries, i put that blame on the absolute scrutiny America endures during times of conflict. We are constantly more concerned with our 'appearance' than getting things done. Instead of laying down the law, we argue and bicker every time an American soldier fires his rifle if he had a 'right to' or not.

It's the price we pay for being the 'world police'.

funny thing is..people wish the states would just fuck off....and quit trying to police the world in the way they see fit, how the US thinks the world should be ran is not hardly of the same opinion of most other nations....and thats due to the fact that the US doesn't police shit, rather they occupy certain areas to protect their interests.....not ever.....EVER...has the states policed the world with anyone but the US's interests as the main concern

"Attacking the Bush Administration is popular thing to do."

I think you mean to say that attacking the Bush administration is an EASY thing to do, when they provide us with so much reason to.
Hyena, for someone who is so strongly patriotic, I find it unbelievable that you are defending the most un-American government to ever come along. While he swore to defend the constitution, Bush has specifically written laws and taken actions against it that have negated most of it. He's the most un-American president ever.
Patriotism does not mean loyalty to the president. It never has and never will. Patriotism means loyalty to the values of your nation and it's people. I guess you don't value freedom and liberty, huh? In your mind, the president, as un-American as he may be, should get the final say over everything, no matter how much he goes against the constitution that he vowed to uphold, right? You're not being patriotic Hyena. You are the ultimate example of the confused and brainwashed that Bush is relying on. "you're with us or against us, rah-rah, America! Freedom! Fight Terrrrr! Hope they buy it while I search without a warrant..."

I wonder what would happen if Iran started conducting war games just outside American borders? I think probably more than a few speed boats would threaten them.

In the wild, Hyenas will constantly steal kills from lions by using group tactics, contrary to the popular misconception that they are strictly scavengers, which they are not.

However, while a full grown male lion is more than a match for any Hyena, Lions will take great pains to avoid territories of large Hyena Clans.

Why do you think this is?

The Hyena has one of the most powerful bites in the animal kingdom, capable of rending steel and pulverizing bone. a single bite can render a lion paw useless, crippling the beast and making it prey for other lions or predators.

So what's my point?

You dont go conducting wargames near your openly more powerful enemy. They may do it to you, but that is because they CAN.. because they HAVE the power to do so.

Just because someone pisses you off, doesnt mean you can go piss them off.. it could get your ass kicked.

Haha! your comments are laughable and you sound like a teenager. And not one of the smart, precocious ones, either, but the young, ignorant ones.
