Why Digg Sucks and shoutwire is better.
Digg is far too popular now for it's own good. 90% of the top 10 links on digg's front page don't work because of the massive clusterfuck that makes digg, digg. So many people visit Digg and the bandwidth gods get buttfucked by the masses. Digg has gone commercial, teaming with corporate websites to become the evil that we all hate.
It's reached the peak of it's popularity and it can only go down hill from here. From a webmasters point of view, why would you want your website/blog/article promoted on Digg? So you can have your servers slammed by the masses? So your website can go out and no one can view your content? Shoutwire is the true underground of the net, the true voice of the people. Digg is run by republicans, and everyone hates republicans. Even republicans hate republicans.
Not to mention half the shit on digg is fucking stupid. And there is no Bash button for us Haters. Digg is a commercialized overpopulated less snazzy website. I am in now way affiliated with digg or shoutwire other then I need my 11am boredum cured while working one of those greuling 8 hour but only 3 hours worth of work days. This is my personal opinion and why i chose Shoutwire over Digg for my daily dose of obscure news. Shoutwire keeps me in touch with the world, digg makes me want to vomit.
Plus I smoke a lot of pot and hot chicks, the shoutwire community supports the decriminalization of marijuana and boobs.
