This article won't highlight the plastic, capitalist Easter that you and I have been trained to know, nor will it showcase a giant rabbit or any other silly symbol of Easter. What this editorial will do is ponder what it would be like if Jesus Christ returned to Earth for Easter.

You're just as big of a hypocrite as MetalGod, Dingo. Clearly you're against Christianity.

And since you're an admin, I'm asking that you not be so ignorant to our members, regardless of opinion.

@Scienott:
So it's okay for MetalGod to ramble on about his opinion because he's not an admin? Clearly ignorance is bliss.

i think this article says so much that is so true on so many levels but the bottom line is simple. All religions - true religions void of bueracracy - are not really religion. They are a set of moral principles that a society agreed was correct and should be followed. Religion is just another word for culture. In sanskrit we call it Sanskaar. It's the things we consider to be "common sense." things like: killing is wrong, dont rape others, respect your parents, love those around you, ect. things that we take for granted. True religion is simply understanding that God created this world with everything it needs to suceed but gives us the onus of making it do so.

The most important thing God gave us is a soul, because our soul is a part of him. Even in Christianity, there is a God and a Devil. Hindus believe there is no difference. God is the Devil and He is also God. God is good and evil, right and wrong, up and down, black and white. All encompassing. That is why we have a soul. In our soul we make good/moral choices, and we make bad/evil choices. But we still keep our soul. So what is the answer then? How do we make this world work w/ a weapon as powerful as the soul, that is capable of so many things? That is where Sanskaar comes into play. The most fundemental law of society is to love. Love yourself, Love others, and Love God. Always remember that in each and everything around you, there exist God, and the key to a peaceful society is to forget everything else and only see God when you look at another person. Love them. There is not mother, no father, no sister, no uncle, no enemy, no Muslim, no Christian, no Jew. Only God.

But the step inbetween this reality and and our current one is family and environment. It's why good christians are raised faithful and peaceful. It's why fanatical Muslims are crazy. It's why an Italian Mobster can be Roman Catholic and still kill people. The evironment we are raised in is what creates our Sanskaar. All i can say is: watch Boyz N Tha Hood. Laurence Fishburne, Cuba Gooding Jr., Ice Cube. If you watch that, then you'll understand what i mean by culture.

haha. i hope i didn't sound like a preacher but honestly those are the tools God has given us and that is the way to live your life. The reason our society is as sickening as it is, is because we forget that our neighbor is God, that our "enemies" are God, that I am God. As weird as it sounds in English, the concept of "I am God" or in sanskrit "aham bhramasmi" is very universal and its what will fix our society.

R. Thaker

PS. just incase anyone was wondering. I am a very liberal hindu. i believe in jesus, krishna, mohammed, and buddah. THEY had the right idea. We just forget what it was sometimes.

I'm not responsible for the regular member, but I am responsible for my staff (i.e. DingoDango).

Clearly you need to remember that if you want to maintain a sense of business ethics.

Is everyone a liberal tree hugger in here?

Judging christians from specific things in the bible, and not the whole idea?

nodnarb232001Keep Your Bullshit Ads Out of my Mind
You know what's fucking awesome? Advertising. It's completely legal brainwashing, requires very little effort to be successful, can help businesses conduct...business, and alerts us consumers to products and services that they want us to buy. Magnificent, isn't it? Not a day goes by that our senses are assaulted by some sort marketing ploy. And I'm just about sick and tired of all of it.It's no secret, advertising is everywhere. Newspapers, the internet, magazines, ...
